Greetings From The East

Spring is finally here, hopefully with the change in the weather more brothers will be coming to Lodge, so far this year we have had a good turnout for the degrees and business meetings.

We have raised some very active brothers this year and I hope we will continue for the rest of my year and the years to come. Our Lodge is strong and getting stronger. Eastern Star and Royal Arch are doing well. Rainbow Girls and DeMolay are starting again. If you have children, grandchildren or friend that might be interested in any of the Orders, bring them to the Temple and show them around, we have something for everyone.

The Fish Fries are over until September (except for ES Mid-Summer Festival). I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the brothers and sisters for their help throughout the past seven months to make the Fish Fries a success. I found out that there is a lot of work that goes into getting ready for the Fish Fries on Friday. Most of Thursday is spent on shopping for supplies, cleaning fish, making cole slaw, washing potatoes. Most people don't realize all the work it takes to get ready for Friday, and then all the clean-up that has to be done after the Fish Fry is over. My heartfelt thanks to all the brothers and sisters for all help and for coming to eat.

May 25th is our Annual Shrine Dinner. Dinner will begin at 6:30, if there is degree work, I will open Lodge at 5:30. All Shriners that wear their Fez will have their dinner at no charge so come on down and enjoy your Temple, see the changes being made and enjoy the friendship and brotherhood. June 22nd is our Past Masters night, come down and watch the Past Masters perform the degree work.

In closing, I hope this newsletter finds everyone in good health.

Fraternally
